I've already evemailed him my suggestions. Although it is true most high quality newbie-friendly indy corps are hard-ish to find. They're prone to being griefed so they tend to not advertise as much.

EVE-U is great, but it's like that prep school on the nice end of town. Not everyone can get in and mostly the attendees are lucky or know someone. The requirements are rather confusing to brand-newbs, and aren't practical to follow for everyone. ...
